The Story:
Jeff Nowlin is the executive vice president and COO for the Gwinnett Health System (GHS) and president of Gwinnett Medical Center – Lawrenceville. GHS is a not-for-profit healthcare network with locations in Duluth, Lawrenceville and Hamilton Mill. The system employs over 4,300 associates, has over 800 committed physicians and serves over 400,000 patients each year.
My Idea Of Fun:
Spending time with my family at the beach, on the ski slopes, the golf course, the baseball diamond or soccer field. Anything that involves my family and the outdoors is always fun.
How I Got Here:
We moved to Gwinnett in the spring of 2008, following 14 years in Texas and Oklahoma. Professionally, this was an opportunity to serve a high-performing organization and personally, we were able to move closer to family.
Things I Tell Myself:
Treat every patient with the care, respect and dignity that you would expect for yourself or one of your family members. Follow the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
What I'd Most Like To See:
For Gwinnett Medical Center to continue to transform healthcare, so that no member of our community will ever have to leave Gwinnett for their care. To deliver the very best to our patients, physicians and staff everyday.
What's Next For Me:
To continue to implement and expand those programs that we know will transform healthcare in our community. This includes open heart, minimally invasive surgery, orthopedics/sports medicine, neurosciences, women’s services, oncology, imaging and other key specialty areas.
